Distance Healing

Reiki distance healing is a practice where a practitioner sends healing energy to a recipient who is not physically present, using intention to overcome the limitations of time and space. It is a form of remote or virtual energy healing that can be sent to a person, place, or event and its proponents believe the effects are as powerful as in-person sessions.

How it works

  • Simultaneous or scheduled sessions:

  • Some practitioners may arrange for a session to be conducted at a specific time, while others may send general healing to a list of recipients on a regular basis.

  • Energetic connection:

  • Proponents believe that all things are connected on an energetic level and distance is not a barrier to this energy.

  • Intention and symbols:

  • Practitioners use a specific Reiki symbol, known as the distance healing symbol Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, to send healing energy across space and time. The symbol can be visualized or the name can be invoked to activate the energy flow.

  • Focus and visualisation:

  • The practitioner focuses their intentions on the recipient, who is often sent a photo for a more direct connection, to send the healing energy to exactly where it is needed.

What to expect

  • Relaxation:

Many recipients report feeling deeply relaxed and calm after a session, experiencing a sense of balance and well-being.

  • Energy surges and calmness:

During the session, it's possible to feel surges of energy or a profound sense of inner quiet.

  • No conscious awareness needed:

You do not have to be awake or conscious during the session to receive the benefits, as the body can absorb the energy when it is in a relaxed state.

  • Comfort and convenience:

You can receive the treatment from anywhere, such as your own home, making it convenient for those who are busy or have difficulty traveling.
